Despite her age, gorgeous Miley has frequented the style pages of many a magazine since her rise to fame in Hannah Montana. The Disney star has managed to impress audiences off stage as well as on, with pretty outfits, glamourous red carpet dresses and beautiful hair.

Nobody's perfect though, and some have occasionally criticised young Miley for dressing older than her age when on the red carpet.

Although it might be hard to believe looking at her now, Cheryl Cole hasn't always had her finger on the fashion pulse. When she first appeared on our screens there were no fashionista alert bells ringing in our ears.

Lily Allen

For the more alternative girls out there, Lily Allen comes up trumps as a serious style icon. Although she's mainstream in terms of her music, Lily's kitsch and cute look and outspoken ways have given her a deserved place on the cool lists of rock magazines like NME.

Originally, Lily's light-hearted pairing of girlie dresses with chavvy jewellery and trainers was attention grabbing but didn't do justice to the stylish girl underneath. However, once she had our attention firmly in her grasp, Miss Allen evolved into a sexy stylish woman.

Attending many fashion events like London Fashion Week, Lily has been picked by Karl Lagerfeld to be the new face of Chanel's handbag campaign and has already designed a capsule range for popular high street store New Look.

It seems Lily sells, but we hope and believe this will not compromise her own unique sense of style.

We like a girl who can mix it up a bit, and although there are the usual and expected dodgy pics of Lily floating around on the net and in certain publications, she more often than not looks beautiful, playful and authentically fashionable.

Lily does kitsch but still remains accessible to a massive audience

We all know how hard it is at that age to find your true identity through clothing and this girl is having to do it in front of millions of fans and blood thirsty media snappers.

It's hard to find the right balance between youthfulness and glamour and we think Miley does a fabulous job.

With a great mix of show stopping party dresses and laid back teenage slouchwear, she's a great style icon for today's young woman.

Therefore we can assume she has learned from a professional stylist the techniques to picking perfect garments and accessories that have thrown her into the fashion world and onto the fashion radar.

However, some things you just can't learn, no matter how you try. So okay, she had a wobbly start. But with a little help and some expensive gowns, she has managed to become one of the most stylish and admired women in the country. She looks beautiful and we're damn happy for her. Honest.
